Welcome to Bellini dedicated to breeding happy healthy full tailed cocker spaniels.
How it began... Little did we know how one cocker spaniel would totally change our lives…..for the better. I had owned dogs before and loved them all dearly but Poppy is that special girl, who understands me so well. She spurred me on to discover as much as I could about cocker spaniels and, when my daughter decided she needed another dog to show we agreed that, providing she health tested clear, the new addition had to be a daughter of Poppy. We had no intention of showing when we had Poppy, just loving ,and that is still our main concern. Poppy is not the ideal show girl being a little on the large side, something I well understand! She is however very happy, healthy, loyal, loving, faithful, beautiful, a great companion, reliable ….I think you get the picture. So having spoken with our vet, who has always much admired her ,and having her eye tested we just had to wait for the right time and find her perfect mate. We found Irish Show Champion Salabah San Moritz, a beautiful blue roan dog who shares some common ancestors with our girl. Luckily, it was love at first and indeed second sight and as a result Poppy became a mum on 7th February 2002.Poppy gave birth to three strong, healthy girls and, as usual, she didn't let us down and gave us the beautiful orange roan girl you will see on the following pages. Her other two daughters, equally healthy and beautiful are light blue roans like mum and dad. In July 2004 our lovely Pippa presented us with a super litter of 7 puppies. The puppies were sired by Powerscourt Higher Echelon. Pippa proved to be a wonderful mother who cared for her pups beautifully.
